How many times do we hear citizens of Jakarta complain, “ Living in Jakarta is harsh”? The answer is too many. Arguably, the reasons attributed to this are Jakarta’s pollution, flooding, heavy traffic, unorganized area and the list goes on. As a result Jakarta becomes a city with a notoriously bad reputation.

Jakarta might be facing enormous daily challenges, but it is not as bad as people would describe. Behind all that, the city is vibrant and friendly. When a car breaks down in the middle of Jakarta's traffic, people would happily lend a hand. Not to mention the various food scenes that ranges between five star hotels to street vendors.

The modern lifestyle of this metropolitan city allows for convenience – where almost anything can be delivered to you front door. A place where modern art and rich history combined, shown by some of the building’s structure where it’s still heavily influenced by Dutch colonization. It also has a better living standard and established facilities than other cities in Indonesia. The city pulses with activities, It’s always busy. Hence, it’s a place of opportunities for new business ventures, especially for millennials.

So when you come to Jakarta it is not a city you would fall in love at first sight, but you will learn to love eventually.
