To be given the opportunities to visit Labuan Bajo for many times is a blessing. Even after the many visits, ‘beautiful’ always seems like the appropriate word to describe labuan bajo’s islands and sceneries.

Many among us seek the pleasure out of travelling . Some may say travelling is nourishing to the soul and invigorating to the spirit. Embracing new cultures teaches people to open up the minds to a whole new meaning of life. Travelling is a luxury, not everyone has the resources such as time and money to move across the world, therefore those who are able to travel should be grateful.

To be given the opportunities to visit Labuan Bajo for many times is a blessing. Even after the many visits, ‘beautiful’ always seems like the appropriate word to describe labuan bajo’s islands and sceneries. However, the fishing town itself doesn’t have much to offer especially since the recent growth in labuan bajo’s tourism which  propels the development of hotels and restaurants. The dust and dirt from the building sites makes the town look rugged and dirty, but in the midst of all that I was able to find a magnificent stretch of hills that takes only 15 minutes ride by a car or a motorbike from the town’s port.

If you go furher up from Sylvia Resort and follow along the road, you will find many unexplored hills. Everytime I come up there there is virtually nobody in sight and it’s perfect for watching sunsets or sunrises on top of the hills. The hills were full of yellow grass as the dry september makes it that colour. When you come during the rainy season the grasses will be green. Nontheless both colours are still pretty. The top of the hill  gives the perfect vantage point of labuan bajo’s crystal clear sea and magnificent hills. When you come here don’t forget to bring your trustee camera and a friend to act as a photographer. Make sure to give your best poses and post it on social media, so you can be the envy among your friends and followers!
