Time to do your weekly weighing schedule and before stepping on the scale you are brimming with hopes and expectations of losing that 1 kg only to find that the numbers on the scale stays the same from last week. Why? Here are some explanations that can help you understand.

Diet All Week and Binge on The Weekend

Having a cheat meal or some treats every now and then is fine. But think about how you have been eating clean for the week only to find yourselves binge eating and drinking on the weekends. It’s a waste of your energy and efforts. Try to make a plan for your cheat meals, make a food diary or take photos, that way you can still indulge while still keeping track on your weight loss goals.

You’re Eating Too Much Carbohydrates

It is hard to avoid that pepperoni pizza or carbonara pasta for dinner, however reducing carbs intake is good if you have diabetic or metabolic problems. It’s not that you shouldn’t have carbs altogether, but you can opt for healthier alternatives such as brown rice or pasta made of whole wheat flour.

When you get bored with cardio, try doing weight training for building muscles. Not only it is good for body sculpting, lifting weights can prevent metabolic slowdown.

You Don’t Have Enough Sleep

Many people don’t know the importance of sleep. Studies show that  sleeping for less than 6 hours triggers the area of your brain that increases the need for food. Try to have at least 7-8 hours of sleep to get that maximum weight loss results!
